A Little Bit About Me..
German Shepherds were in my blood from the minute I was born, My Grandfather bred them in the 40’s only stopping through ill health.
The first dog that was ever bought for me by my Mum was a labrador retriever, I was 10 years old. His name was Duke and he was sweetest boy and I did everything for him.
At the age of 15, I left home and went to work in a breeding & showing kennels for Rottweilers, Giant Schnauzers & Swedish Vallhunds.
I then moved to a boarding kennels before joining the Vet Corp in the Army where I worked with German Shepherds, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Labradors & Springer Spaniels, I was one of the first women to be allowed to train dogs, up to that point it was only classed as a mans job.
My time in the army was one of my best times.
I gave birth to my daughter in 1990 about 3 months before I was given a little mix breed from a rescue centre, she was called Fox {Foxy Lady}. She was my pride and joy and just amazing with my little girl.
I then got my very first Shepherd ‘Sheika’. She was from full working lines and was a real handful, she lived until she was 11 and taught me that a working line Shepherd needs to work or at least have a lot of physical and mental stimulation so they can live happily in a home enviroment. She was however a lovely girl with a great temperament and a 100% trustworthy around my Daughter.
I got my second Shepherd ‘Shadow’ who became my foundation bitch, She was mainly from Showlines and much more laid back than Sheika. Having said that she could turn it on when she felt the need, she would have made a excellent police dog.
It was this that made me want to breed a German Shepherd that is capable of chilling out after a good walk but will also look after the family if really needed to.
I like to mix the working/show & Old English lines to try and produce a good all round Shepherd with good bone a straight back and a sound even temperament. Loyal and loving.
The colour of a Shepherd has no consequence to me as long as they are from good breeding have excellent temperaments and are health tested with excellent results.
My Kennel name is Nryeemas said {Ni -ree-mas} which is an anagram of my Mums Maiden name who I lost in suddenely in 2007. I so wanted her to take this journey with me.
Miss you Mum
